We must share everything”, he stated with conviction.
An increase in female participation and equity
At the Perumin 37 Equity and Inclusion Forum, our VP of Operations and President of the Association of Industrial Mining Suppliers (APRIMIN), Dominique Viera, emphasized gender equity in the national mining industry: "Chile is the leading country in the world in terms of female participation... today we dream of becoming world champions in this area and we have been working consistently towards this goal", Viera pointed out.
In this vein, our CEO provided a key piece of information, which is that with the 23.1% female inclusion in Chilean mining, every minute, Chile produces around 11 tons of fine copper. Of this, 2.5 tons are thanks to the work of women in the sector. This milestone reveals how Chile surpasses other powers in the sector.
It should be noted that the Equality Plan and the Equal Pay Act have been fundamental to this progress achieved by our country. Metaproject Group stated that the major challenge now is to increase the presence of women on boards of directors and in management positions.
