Metaproject Group continues to strengthen its commitment to education, academic excellence, and knowledge sharing by hosting an international delegation of 19 Industrial Engineering students at its headquarters in Santiago, Chile. This significant event was held as part of a specialization program organized by the University of La Rioja (Spain) and the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC) in Lima, Peru, in collaboration with the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (PUC).
The visit was recommended by PUC, which highlighted Metaproject as a benchmark in Engineering and Quality, not only in Chile but also internationally, due to its more than 35 years of industry leadership.
A Diverse and Engaged Group
The delegation, comprised of 13 men and 6 women, was led by Professor Percy Castro, Coordinator of Industrial Engineering at UPC. The primary goal of the visit was to gain in-depth insights into the practices, methodologies, and standards that have established Metaproject as an industry leader while fostering enriching connections between academia and the professional world.

The visit featured a series of presentations by senior executives and specialists from Metaproject, who shared their expertise and highlighted the strategic pillars that have enabled the company to excel in engineering and consulting projects:

- Mariana Barría, Engineering Manager, detailed the quality methodologies and integrated processes used in Metaproject’s multidisciplinary projects.
- Juan Carlos Olguín, Contracts and Operational Excellence Manager, explained the management and quality assurance strategies that ensure the successful execution of complex projects.
- Luis Neves, Mechanical Civil Engineer, delved into advances in applied mechanical engineering and their significance in large-scale projects.
- Víctor Valenzuela, Industrial Civil Engineer and expert in fire protection networks under NFPA standards, emphasized the importance of safety in the design and operation of these systems.
